"Our daughters joined Ms. Karen's piano studio in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, when they were 8, 10, and 12. They have taken lessons with other teachers previously. However, it was not until they took lessons with Ms. Karen that they truly enjoyed playing piano and began to hone their musicality and artistry! Our three girls have very different personalities and prefer music by different composers. Ms. Karen was able to tailor her teachings to each of their needs and enabled them to pursue music to the best of their abilities. As kids learn difficult techniques and new pieces, they can also sometimes get frustrated and discouraged. Ms. Karen was highly skilled in handling the kids' questions and emotional ups and downs. Our kids enjoyed Ms. Karen's lessons so much that the lesson time flew by quickly even though each of them had a one-hour lesson.Our kids grew so much as young musicians during their study with Ms. Karen. Take, for example, our youngest daughter, who was playing early intermediate pieces when Ms. Karen started to teach her. Within two years, she progressed to early advanced pieces, and, more importantly, developed a true enjoyment and love for piano!  Although we are not able to continue lessons with Ms. Karen due to her relocation, the love for music and the foundations she laid for our girls will stay with them their whole lives."
